Jimmy n' Adi
Jimmy Marble and Adi Goodrich: "The two’s work as JIMMYnADI was a project that sought to illustrate the creative atmosphere in Los Angeles. The first manifestation of this is a series of photos where they cast their friends, collaborators, and artists in bright, upbeat clothing and poses inspired by the May 68 protests in France. - From LA I'm Yours
Jimmy Marble is a director and photographer based in Los Angeles, and recently New York City. His short films and music videos have been featured on websites like devour, pitchfork, the fader, it's nice that, boing boing, while his commercial work has been featured by adweek and theFWA. His leading interests are color and optimism.
Adi Goodrich is a set designer and art director based in Los Angeles. She has somehow convinced clients like Apple, Cheerios, Native Shoes, Wieden + Kennedy, Tostitos, Universal Records, Sony Music, Warner Bros. Target and others to make sets entirely by hand in her studio in downtown Los Angeles. Color Theory, Art History and collaboration are crucial elements in her work.
"These Are My Friends and Their Friends" is an ongoing project inviting Adi's ultra-talented friends to collaborate on non-commercial work. This project aims to connect the disconnected world of Los Angeles' creative community, the people who are directly and currently changing the face of advertising and art.
Jimmy n' Adi will curate and host a segment of "These Are My Friends and Their Friends" at our Pop-Up Institute for Craft & Ingenuity on Sunday, September 8th (RSVP Required).
